THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA

Aside from what can be done on the farm, there is a lot to see and do in the area around Grootfontein Private Nature Reserve.   NATIONAL PARK 

Marakele National Park is part of the Waterberg Biosphere in Limpopo Province, South Africa.

 

Visit for day visits, bird watching and game viewing. Enjoy self game drives or contact reception to arrange a guided game drive.

 THABAZIMBI 
  GOLF 
 

 Located in a valley on the edge of the Ben Alberts Nature Reserve and provides gorgeous panoramas of the lush green surrounding mountains.

Thabazimbi Golf Course is a nine-hole, eighteen-tee course and weighs in at 3127m in length. The course is rated 36 and has a typical-of-the-area bushveld-parkland layout. The course runs alongside the Rooikuilspruit river and comes into contact with it on five of the nine holes.

Situated in Thabazimbi, Marakele Animal Sanctuary has a wide variety of predators and small animals, they are open everyday of the week, braai area and pool available.

  NATIONAL PARK 

Pilanesberg National Park is situated in the ecologically rich transition zone between the Kalahari and the Lowveld, this vast area promises thrilling big game viewing in a malaria free environment. Book an early morning game drive to have the opportunity to see the Big 5.

 WATERBERG ZIPLINE   ADVENTURES 

Waterberg Zipline Adventures has a tour that takes you on an exciting, 2 and a half hour adventure as you slide from one platform to the next, through the most beautiful waterberg mountains set amongst magnificent natural surroundings. The tour involves a zig zag ride.
